Marijuana can affect your pupils in a very specific way

Your pupils may reveal something interesting about marijuana use. đź‘€
When light hits the eye, the pupil constricts. But with marijuana, researchers observed something unusual: the pupil can begin dilating again while the light is still shining.
That discovery could have important implications for developing objective ways to detect marijuana use. But there was a problem: the test produced inconsistent results.
So what was causing the inconsistency? And what did researchers discover about the type of light needed to reveal the response?
🎙️ Listen to the full episode with Dr. Denise Valenti to hear the research behind this discovery and what it could mean for the future of marijuana impairment testing.
